That one line "For the great and mysterious opportunity of my life..." has been bouncing around in my head for days, doing some very good work in me. 

The birth of yet a third beautiful, perfect child is another opportunity to reflect on God's goodness to me and the great and mysterious opportunity he has given me in this life I lead.

Completely undeserved I have a wife who loves me, children I delight in, a home that shelters me in more ways than one, food in the pantry and clothes in the closet, a church full of people I love who allow me to help teach and shepherd them...

There are times when I am just awestruck by the gift of my life, and by the God who would give it to me.
